Your Experience

From start to finish – photos should be the easy part. I will check in each step of the way and provide all the tips for your perfect session day. On session day I will come with love and compassion as I document your moments so it will feel like a friend stopped by for a few hours giving directions when needed but also stepping away at all the right times. After your session I’ll guide you through choosing your tangible products for printing to be sure they don’t get pushed to the side for later. Everyone will walk away with digitals AND prints.

Style

I specialize in family focused newborn photos at home (or in a lifestyle studio) in true to life colors (timeless images that will never go out of style). I capture both traditional family portraiture along with all the moments that show who you really are with the genuine love, emotion, and personality of your family.

Knowledge

I have over 25 years of experience (yes back to the dark room days) and am an award winning professional photographer. I have photographed hundreds of newborns. You can be confident you’re in safe and understanding hands. I will guide you through each step of this process so you feel (and look) confident and comfortable.

Frequently Asked Questions

After your schedule your session – we will chat about what you are wanting from your pictures.  For an outdoor session I will hand pick a few locations that I know will be great specifically for your family for you to pick from.  We will often use your home or I do use a studio that is available for rent. 

When we chat about scheduling your session we can narrow in a few dates that will work on both of our calendars.  You can then schedule fully online and let me know which date is best for you!

I will typically have your gallery to you within 1-2 weeks of your session. However, according to my contract I have 30 days to complete your gallery. If you are working on a specific timeline that you need your images by please be sure to let me know during our pre-session consultation so I can give you a better estimate based on how busy I am at the time.

I don’t expect kids to “behave” during your session. I encourage running, playing, laughing, and getting genuine smiles from everyone. (Did you know I used to be a teacher? Take a breathe and let me keep them busy!

I do not put a time on my sessions so we never feel rushed and an unexpected need during our time together is no big deal  but typically a family session is about 90 minutes while a newborn or cake smash are typically about 2 hours.
